Recovery, Yardsale Scores and Dinner at SangKee
http://www.sangkeephiladelphia.com/indexb.htm
Woke up extremely hungover. Got myself together from the mess I made the night before. Managed to drive over to a yard sale in bryn mawr at a very fancy estate, villomar. Purchased a professional kitchen grade cutting mat and bamboo cutting board along with 2 glass liquor decanters and a baby book. The rubber cutting mat is awesome and will be used for all future papercraft projects, craig was embarassed I told the homeowners i was going to use it for crafts. oh well. the bamboo cutting board went right into the kitchen though, no more cheapie ikea cutting boards for me.
after that we came home and watched a movie, it's all gone pete tong, a mockumentary about dj frankie wilde, a dj in ibiza who went deaf had a huge comeback and disappeared. it was a good movie. craig thought it was real, google told us otherwise. still good.
then....joanne and jessie came to pick us up and we met my family for dinner at the soft-grand opening of the new SangKee restaurant in University City. It was awesome. We had a TON of food. The appetizers were delicious, dumplings, shrimp rolls, edamame, duck rolls, all kinds of stuff, then we had shrimp and pork wonton soup, thennnnnn, we had the main course. i got scallops in XO chili sauce, they were delicious. Big Den got the General Tso, really really good, not too spicy, not too friend, very delicious. And the coffee was fantastic! Iced coffee, brewed by the pint glass right at the table. The owners and servers were all super nice and excited for the opening. Me and Joanne did karaoke to Madonna True Blue. It was lots of fun. will definitely be going back as soon as they get more karaoke songs loaded up! and for more iced coffee!!!

Thursday Nite
It was awful and rainy out and I left my credit card at home yesteday so I went right home after work. Craig was a bit hungover from the night before and he had ordered food from Machiasmo Burrito on Main Street (they deliver, yay!) so I had a huge salad waiting for me when I got home.
Since I'm in the midst of rearranging my entire house, getting rid of some vintage stuff, trying to install a stero-component system so we can use the record player and just straighten up in general. I moved alot of stuff around, brought a bunch of books upstairs (i hate getting rid of books!) and tried to rearrange the liquor area in few different spots.
At 8:30 we trekked to Best Buy in Ply.Mtg so Craig could get COD 4- Modern Ware 2 for the XBOX. We spent way tooooo much time looking at Wii games, steared clear of the DVD section b/c we just can't right now and checked out speakers for the stereo. Debating on getting a pair of wireless speakers from a company I think called Rocket Audio. They were $104 which was reasonable but without a display set, we have no idea what they sound like. I plan to investigate this brand further. Wireless would be ideal since neither of us can drill holes or run wires without making a mess.
We were going to go to Target, but it was so cold and rainy, Craig had homework to do so we just went home. I fooled around with more rearranging (aka, played on the internet) Craig did his assignments and we settled in to watch the shows we DVR'd for the night. Thursday TV is great!
Started with The League on FX - hysterical! That show really cracks me up. Then watched Sunny and Community. Saved The Office and 30Rock for tonight. That brought us to 3am and time to go to bed....

Wednesday Nite
Met up with Maetal for dinner and drinks at a mexican restaurant in the NE, had a great frozen rasberry margarita and enchiladas that were ok - heavy on the onions. Stopped in the Marshall's next door - they had awesome stationary and handbags and XMAS items. I bought an adorable black leopard wrap sleep-dress that is super comfy and thank you cards and some little christmas gifts to have on hand.
Craig was out at the Starlight Ballroom for a show so after dinner and shopping, I killed time with Colleen in Port Richmond, talked alot of smack and drank cheap pints of Miller Lite. Craig and Rob met up with us at a smelly bar down the street around 2. Pit stop at the Wawa before racing home. (I neglected to hit the toilet prior to leaving the bar) We tried to watch some tv but both passed out on the couch.

I love 3d Movies
Went to see Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol in 3D at the KOP IMAX last night with JAX. We both agreed there were some terrifying scenes in it. Not to spoil it if you haven't seen it, but the grim reaper scene was intense with the red-eyed black horses. Other parts too, Ghost of Christmas Present with the want and the need children were also horrifying...not for young kids to say the least! The animation was different than the other great 3ds we've seen recently, specifically, Coraline, Up, etc... but 3d is still cool.
No previews before the movie (boooo) but saw posters in the lobby for the Alice in Wonderland 3d and Fantastic Mr. Fox - looking forward to both.
